Bound Studio

Shibari

curriculum

At Bound Studio, we offer beginner level workshops in both a group format and private setting. We limit our workshops at 8 couples to ensure hand’s on guidance and an intimate setting. Our approach to rope is to create aesthetically and visually appealling ties that enhance the human form through rope.

Step 1.

Learn The Ropes

Everybody begins here!

Begin your Shibari journey by attending a Learn The Ropes workshop.

This introductory class will lay a firm foundational understanding of Shibari that will prepare you to proceed to the next level.

We also offer a full day workshop “The Shibari Experience” that ropes you in through 4 beginner level classes all in one day.

Step 2.

Learn Some More Ropes

After completing the Learn the Ropes introduction to shibari workshop, you now have the foundational skillset to learn more intricate and artistically appealing ties.

With the foundational beginnings established with Learn The Ropes, you now know what you need to explore other forms of rope play.

Presently, we have the following workshops available:

Bedroom Ropes
Dungeon Ropes
Fashio Ropes

Step 3.

Practice, Time & Commitment

We know, its not a sexy step… but it’s what it takes to become proficient in Shibari and master this craft. Dedicate at least 1 hour per week practicing your ties, continue to study, attend our workshops, rope jams, open studio’s and performances to continue to immerse yourself into this gorgoues artform. Before you know it, you will be well beyond where you thought you would be.

Consider taking a private lesson to launch you to the next level.
